For questions regarding LP and missing games, there are some good answers in the first few pages of this thread by Riot ToxicHawk about the issue.

As many of you will have noticed, we have had a bit of a bumpy ride today on the Oceanic server. For that I'd like to offer my sincere apologies and give you a brief run-down of what is going on.

Earlier today, at around 10:00 AEST, we had an incident which caused disruption to gameplay for many players. We detected that and by 10:45 AEST we had everything running smoothly again. Unfortunately the result of this incident was that a number of players were stuck in "ghost games", which meant they would be unable to play for up to 2 hours.

A few hours after service returned to normal, at approximately 14:00 AEST, there was another similar incident which put service into the same state (more ghost games). At this stage we elected to perform a platform restart, as a large number of players were stuck. We also felt it was important to address the issue head on, rather than have players sit around in ghost games for another 2 hours.

After restarting the platform, while we were performing our post-startup checks we noticed there were some ongoing problems within the layer of the environment that had previously failed. Rather than open the service to players in an unstable state, potentially risking more ghost games and reconnect issues, we elected to keep our platform offline until we identify and fix the root cause.

That is currently where we stand. At this point in time, we have Rioters from all over the world working to identify and fix this. While we can't provide an ETA at this stage, I can assure you that we are doing everything we can to get things up and running again as soon as possible.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding, and we'll keep you updated as we go.

As you might be aware, we have created Summoner icons that you can unlock by playing Team Builder on Sundays with a certain role 5 times…

After deploying the new Team Builder features in other regions, we started seeing an issue where some summoners were not being properly awarded the icons. This is currently being investigated and the queue will be turned on as planned in Oceania at 3pm AEST on Sunday 03/08/2014.

While this is worked on, all your games in Team Builder will still count towards unlocking a role Summoner icon, but you will still have to play one more game with the role to unlock the icon once we fix everything.

In the meantime, let us know what you think about Team Builder and the improvements we made to it. We got to where we are with it thanks to all your awesome feedback, both positive and negative, and we look forward to getting more of it!

I have been posting as much information and responding to peoples questions all morning. I understand that more information is better but sometimes i am unable to give it as I don't have it myself (yet).

These issues have been occurring this today only, if you have been having issues for the past 24 hours it may be ISP related. I'm not passing the blame but going off the information I have on hand right now it does not appear that these issues were occurring yesterday.

In saying that I do know that the symptoms are similar, lag, disconnections etc. But please understand multiple things can cause these issues.

I know it looks like these systems are slow but they are the only one scalable.

Its an issue where the game you were playing in has not completed correctly so the server does not know it has ended and thus believes you are still playing your game.

I can see your account is not in a game according to my system, if your still having the issue this may be the servers themselves haven't caught up with the games that had crashed earlier. If that is the case, you will have to wait it out.

From what I can see you did gain LP for your game.
When are you getting the reconnect screen? After you log in? After you go through champion select?

If you don't see end of game stats, you should be fine to close the client and re-open.

I can see from your match history that you were in a game when this incident occurred, it would appear you are stuck in a ghost game. Unfortunately you will need to wait until the system clears and releases you from the "game". This can take 5 min - 2 hours from when the issue occurred.

It sounds like you are also stuck in a ghost game, as the user above is.

I'm not sure why you feel your not getting anything when you win. I can see from your match history that when you win you are gaining 14 - 17 LP.
I can however understand that losing a game due to an issue that is not your fault can be frustrating and we do apologize that anyone has had to experience this.

If you are stuck in a ghost game, which it sounds like you are, it can take up to approximately 2 hours to clear.

Being stuck on the reconnect screen is not the issue that this thread is about. If you were in a game that crashed during the incident then it sounds like you are stuck in a ghost game.
If you were not then it might be a different issue.

Further investigation has shown me you were playing during this time and it appears you were affected bu the initial issue and thus you are stuck in a ghost game.

From what I can see you did not play a game this morning OR if you have it was affected by this issue and did not count. This would also mean you are stuck in a ghost game.

You can try to close it, I can't say either way what will happen, howoever in the event you are punished, please submit a Player Support ticket with this thread URL in it and we can investigate further.

This normally indicates that the servers believe you are still in a game. Unfortunately you will need to wait it out for the system to automatically adjust your status. This could take 5 min - 2 hours.

Hmm, it seems that your client has not caught up with the current settings.
I just checked again in multiple clients and Ranked is definitely showing up now, trying rebooting your computer or (if you know how) manually flush your DNS and re-register it.

If your on windows 7 you can manually do it by following these instructions:
  1. Click the start button and navigate to the command prompt (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt)
  2. Make sure that you right click on the command prompt application and choose "Run as Administrator"
  3. Type in the command ipconfig /flushdns
